The role of scientific research in osteopathy<\/h2>\n

Medical subjects such as anatomy, physiology, neurology and pathology stand at the basis of the methodology and clinical reasoning of the osteopathic approach. Other domains such as embryology, general medicine, health sciences and neuroendocrinology are also consulted by osteopaths when looking at the balance between health and disease and formulating a hypothesis.<\/p> <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

In treatment decisions, the osteopath integrates the best external evidence with his or her own clinical expertise, all in consultation with the patient. Osteopaths mainly work in primary health care. They work together with fellow osteopaths and other health care practitioners.<\/p>\n
