Ilona Laarman
After graduating as a physiotherapist, I knew that I wanted to continue studying. My exploration and my passion to understand the mysteries of the human body were so strong that it had to be a study that focused on medicine. In my left hand I had the registration form for the medical study, in my right hand the registration form for the Osteopathy course. During my reflections I had an anatomy book off the shelf that had been sitting there untouched for five years. The bookmark inside was a pamphlet I had once taken from an information board at school; a pamphlet about Osteopathy.
That pamphlet explained how Osteopathy is based on the philosophy that the human body should be seen as a whole. That you should not only consider the knee of the carpet, for example, but that you should see every injury or significant in connection with the rest of the body. The choice of which course to study was made in a second.
After my studies, I founded Osteopathie Laarman, which has developed into a professional osteopathy practice with multiple locations, where we help a high-quality team of dozens of professionals with their health to great satisfaction every day.
